The Le Fashion Lab Team is led by Nicola Watson – Founder and President

Watson holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Fashion from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), graduating with a 3.9+ GPA. She’s worked as an Apparel Fashion Designer for Target and Abercrombie, where she’s designed 7-figure brands and developed a thorough understanding of the numerous business and design components needed to run a successful fashion brand.

Nicola has also helped launch two startup fashion design brands in Atlanta, GA, taking both concepts from idea to actualization, including final samples and trade shows.

Additionally, Watson worked as the Fashion Instructor for SCAD’s Community Education Department for over 3 years, Adjunct Faculty in the Art/Fashion Department of Clark-Atlanta University, and has been featured as a Guest Lecturer of the Fashion & Marketing Department at Bauder College. She is also author of “Fashion Designer Career Guide: Insider Tips for Fashion Career Planning.”

A certified project management professional (PMP), Nicola started Le Fashion Lab to create more options for studying fashion – more affordable, less prerequisites, no waste of your time and money! She created the syllabi and curriculum for all the classes, with a step-by-step approach to perfecting students’ skills in the most efficient manner possible – doing away with all the unnecessary prerequisites that keep you away from achieving your fashion goal.

Additionally, she added a key component that is missing from traditional fashion college education – a thorough understanding of the designer as business owner and entrepreneur.
